So many choices. I agree with Kim. You will be happy wherever you are, just being together & nurturing your love.
AngieAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5036794040682969601.post-80376449610240346812023-01-19T09:17:55.715-05:002023-01-19T09:17:55.715-05:00We lived in Florida for 3 years ago to see what it...We lived in Florida for 3 years ago to see what it was like. My husband loved it as he could ride his bike everyday. We both didn’t like the politics and it’s worse now in terms of how the governor is controlling schools. My suggestion is to rent for the winter in different warm climates that have a vital senior community. Our two favorite places in Florida were Islamorada, mid keys and Appalachicola, which is an old Florida coastal community. There are other places to consider like Coastal SC and Georgia. That said I just read in The NY Times about Ann Arbor’s Friday night seniors happy hour where local aging rock bands play and seniors dance and have a blast. Living in Ann Arbor will keep you intellectually stimulated with all the things to do as well as keep you close to the Bark House when you want to come up for the weekend.
Your plight is one that is common. We have thought of what it would be like to live near our Kids and grandkids, however I would miss the beautiful scenery we have here and swimming in Torch Lake. I’m a painter and I need the scenery to keep me inspired. Look forward to your posts. I came to your garage sale this summer and live just after Pine Hill Nursery, Cheers Wendy McWhorterAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
